Chris Brown Speaks Out on Nixed Usher Tour, Fake Industry Friends
October 6th, 2010 | No Comments »

The Internet lit up with reports of a possible joint tour between Usher and Chris Brown, but it never came to fruition. The “Deuces” singer is keeping it real, revealing why the tour didn’t go down and why he doesn’t keep many friends in the industry.

Breezy appeared on Angie Martinez’s Hot 97 radio show on Wednesday to discuss the canceled outing. “We kinda had different views on the tour—no beef,” explained Chris. “We both have two different promoters, so whoever would get the tour would have to work it out and I think they didn’t see eye to eye. I think we rushed into it. We were in love with the idea more than the actual [business part of it]. We couldn’t get ready for it. Hopefully in the future, we might work something out.”

While Usher may have gone with his other R&B peer Trey Songz, Chris doesn’t hold a grudge, but does admit that he and Ursh don’t have a close relationship. “It’s whatever, we cool. I’m cordial and that’s with everybody,” said Chris. “I don’t have friends in this industry. I have my circle and I have my people who’ve been with me through the bad times and the good times. Everybody else is just wallpaper.”

Following disappointing sales of last year’s Graffiti, which came on the heels of his guilty plea for assaulting Rihanna, Chris Brown is churning out new music in an attempted comeback. Not only has his mixtape-spawned cut “Deuces,” featuring Tyga, topped the Billboard R&B/Hip-Hop chart, but the track has also been remixed to include guest spots from five hip-hop heavyweights, including Drake and Kanye West.

During a chat with fans on Ustream on Monday night, Brown spoke about the upcoming remix and his next album, F.A.M.E.

“I’mma let ya’ll know a little secret,” Brown told fans. “We got the ‘Deuces’ remix coming. ‘Deuces’ remix features myself, Fabolous, T.I., Drake, Kanye West, and André 3000. There you have it. My people are probably about to call me and say, ‘You weren’t suppose to tell anybody,’ but so what? I love you guys.”

Chris Brown is bidding farewell to “depressing” songs on his next studio album, “F.A.M.E.”.

A follow up to 2009s “Crawl” featured “Graffiti,” Brown says “F.A.M.E.” will not only showcase his growth, it will be packed with “fun” music.

“I feel like it’s a great album. It’s going to show a lot more growth and a lot more fun in music,” Brown told fans during a recent U Stream session. “It isn’t going to be as depressing, so to speak.”

The album, which does not have an exact release date at this point, is led by rising efforts “Yeah 3X” and “Calypso”.

Chris Brown Accused Of Ripping Off Track

Scottish singer/songwriter/producer Calvin Harris has accused Chris Brown of knocking him off with his new single “Yeah 3X.” In a recent update to his Twitter feed, the U.K. chart topper said he was shocked when he heard the new track.

“Choked on my cornflakes when I heard new Chris Brown single this morning. Do you know what I mean?” Harris tweeted before claiming that Brown’s track is strikingly similar to his U.K. number one single “I’m Not Alone.”

The comments incited a war of words between fans of Brown and Harris. After one fan claimed that Harris could never reach Brown’s level of success the Scotsman said he is happy with his career.
