So far to my understanding, this is still a rumor!
Damaged and disgraced dancer-singer Chris Brown is demanding a trade from his current label over at Sony Music to Universal, which houses Cash Money/Young Money label, mediatakeout.com reports. They say that the two major labels are working out the particulars even as we speak.
Chris Brown, Wyclef Jean and Lil Wayne have been added to the performance lineup of BET’s “SOS Saving OurSelves — Help for Haiti” telethon.
As previously reported, the benefit will take place on Feb. 5 from American Airlines Arena in Miami and will air live on BET, MTV, VH1 and Centric at 8 p.m. EST.
Sean “Diddy” Combs, Queen Latifah and Pharrell are hosting the two-hour concert and telethon to benefit victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.
Other performers at the BET concert include Mary J. Blige, Drake, Justin Bieber, Keri Hilson, Robin Thicke and Monica.
Proceeds will aid organizations including Yele Haiti, CARE, Project Medishare and Children’s Safe Drinking Water.
Chris Brown helps pen “What Do You Say,” a new track from his friend Omarion’s third solo album Ollusion, in stores Tuesday. O sings about getting to know his girl better on the mid-tempo Battle Royal production. The entire album can be streamed on his MySpace page.
